Why Choose Koala Eco over Generic Cleaning Brands?

Today, I want to shine the light on one of our customers favorite brands! Koala Eco is a clean U.S.A made cleaner with Australian essential oils that works great and won't give you a chemically induced headache. I myself have not had the pleasure of using the Kitchen Cleaner that customers rave about. However, I bought a glass cleaner, and I loved it so much, I used it to clean my entire shower, and it worked better than any bathroom cleaner I have ever used. The best part was I was able to clean my shower without feeling like I was suffocating due to the smell of bleach or other bathroom chemicals and I got a better, cleaner feeling space.

Let's take a peek inside the kitchen cleaner and see if the ingredients are really safe!

Ingredient

What it is

What it does

Water (Aqua)

Water

The main ingredient and base of the product.

Caprylyl/Myristyl Glucoside

Plant-derived cleansing agent

Helps lift dirt, oil, and grime. It's a mild surfactant (soap-like ingredient).

Gluconolactone

Sugar-derived ingredient

Helps stabilize the formula and can gently condition the skin. It's also sometimes used as a mild preservative booster.

Backhousia Citriodora (Lemon Myrtle Essential Oil)

Essential oil from lemon myrtle leaves

Provides a strong lemon-like scent and may have some natural antimicrobial properties.

Limonene (from essential oils)

Natural compound found in citrus oils

Adds a citrus fragrance. Common in lemons, oranges, and mandarins.

Sodium Benzoate

Food-grade preservative

Prevents bacteria, mold, and yeast from growing in the product.

Citrus Reticulata (Mandarin Essential Oil)

Mandarin orange essential oil

Adds a sweet citrus scent and fragrance.

Lets take a deeper dive into Sodium Benzoate.

Sodium Benzoate is the sodium salt of benzoic acid, a compound that occurs naturally in many plants and foods.

Natural sources

Benzoic acid — and therefore its salts — can be found in fruits such as cranberries, blueberries, plums, and apples, as well as in spices like cinnamon, and in some seafood and dairy products. In nature, plants produce benzoic acid as a defense mechanism against microbes.

Commercial production

While it exists naturally, most sodium benzoate used in food, cosmetics, and pharmaceuticals is manufactured synthetically for purity, consistency, and ease of handling.

Overall, I personally believe this Kitchen Cleaner passes the non-toxic check, and I will continue using this brand in my everyday life.

Now, let's take a quick glance at some ingredients typically found in kitchen cleaners to get an idea of why this particular brand is less toxic in comparison.
