Purely Gathered is more than just another “health” store — it’s a love story, a learning curve, and a search for balance brought to life. When we met (Kedric and Sarah), we were 22 years old, both in the service, and stationed in Guam. Health wasn’t on our radar back then. We were young, in love, and fully immersed in everything Guam had to offer — the beaches, the nightlife, and the freedom of that season. We made endless memories before the military eventually made staying connected difficult. Over a year later, we found our way back to each other — older, more grounded, and homeowners this time. We weren’t the same people who had met years before.

 

Around that time, Sarah began exploring the health food world, and when she became pregnant, that curiosity turned into a deep desire to be more intentional about what we were bringing into our home. What started with food slowly expanded into everything else — cleaning products, personal care, and everyday household items. The more we learned, the more we realized how much of daily life is filled with unnecessary toxins. But we also learned something just as important: balance matters. This journey was never about perfection or fear — it was about making better choices where we could, without losing joy in the process.

 

At first, Kedric was skeptical. Paying double for grass-fed beef raised an eyebrow or two. But as he learned alongside Sarah, skepticism turned into understanding, and understanding turned into action. Before long, he wasn’t just on board — he was invested. That investment turned into frustration when we realized how hard it was to actually live this way. Finding truly non-toxic products meant shopping from multiple online stores, paying shipping five different times, and spending hours researching ingredients just to feel confident in what we were buying.

 

That’s when the idea for Purely Gathered was born — and fittingly, it was Kedric who said, “Why isn’t there one place for all of this?” Purely Gathered exists to make intentional living simpler.
